Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about our products and services.

Cat5e is an enhanced version of Cat5, designed for gigabit speeds up to 1000 Mbps — significantly faster than the original Cat5 standard. Cat5e also reduces crosstalk interference between wire pairs, resulting in more reliable and stable network connections over longer distances.

CAT 6 supports up to 1 Gbps at 250 MHz, while CAT 6a (augmented) supports 10 Gbps speeds at 500 MHz. CAT 6a is thicker, heavier, and better suited for data centers and high-bandwidth environments. Both come in snagless, shielded, plenum, and outdoor varieties for different installation scenarios.

LSZH stands for "Low Smoke Zero Halogen" — a cable jacket material classification. LSZH cables emit minimal smoke and release no halogen gases when exposed to high heat, preventing the release of toxic fumes during fires. They are essential for use in enclosed spaces like aircraft, ships, railways, and underground systems.

PVC cables feel soft and flexible, while LSZH cables feel rougher and slightly stiffer. PVC releases chemical fumes and halogen gases when burning, which can be toxic in enclosed spaces. LSZH does not release these harmful gases. Both perform similarly under normal conditions, but LSZH meets stricter health and safety standards.

Remove only the minimum amount of sheath needed for proper termination. It is critical to maintain twisted pair integrity within 0.5 inches (13mm) from the termination point. Untwisting more than this increases crosstalk and can degrade network performance significantly.

No — our wall mount rack cabinets are designed for straightforward installation using standard tools available in any workshop. The cabinets feature a sturdy steel frame with clear mounting instructions. Most installations can be completed by a single technician in under an hour.

Our wall mount cabinets accommodate standard 19-inch rackmount equipment including servers, network switches, routers, patch panels, UPS units, and cable management accessories. They are ideal for small to medium office environments where floor space is limited.

We offer a full range of rack accessories including blanking panels, cable management arms, ventilation fans and trays, PDUs (power distribution units), adjustable mounting rails, casters for floor-standing units, and locking door mechanisms. All accessories are designed to fit standard 19-inch rack systems.

Cabinets with greater depth (900mm and above) provide improved cable routing space, better airflow for cooling high-density equipment, and easier access for maintenance. This makes them ideal for data center environments and server rooms where equipment density and thermal management are critical.

SOLITINE offers a comprehensive range of enclosures including EMC shielded cabinets, IP65-rated outdoor enclosures, server cabinets, data cabinets, open-frame racks, wall-mount cabinets, modular data center cabinets, and specialized enclosures for industrial and utility applications.
